Professor Michael Darcy is the owner and head instructor of One Ten Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona. He began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2006 and earned his black belt in 2016 under world-renowned instructor Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro.

With nearly two decades of training and teaching experience, Professor Darcy has developed a structured approach designed to help students learn Jiu-Jitsu efficiently, build confidence, and understand how techniques apply in both training and real-world situations.

Before opening One Ten BJJ, Michael served in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout and completed two deployments to Iraq. His military background helped shape the discipline, accountability, and practical mindset that influence the culture and instruction at the academy today.

Professor Darcy works closely with beginners, experienced practitioners, competitors, and families, with a strong emphasis on technical development, positional understanding, self-defense, and long-term progression.

At One Ten BJJ, his goal is simple: provide high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction in a professional, welcoming environment where students can improve physically, mentally, and technically at every stage of their training.
